...ok well it does, it has far more lights and has more than just the one colour, but hey I am impressed.

When I got Bobby, he only had a couple of 21w 'eyeball' spot lights, so I fitted a 12v 8w fluro until I had worked out how I was going to light it.
I have decided to keep the fluro as a 'big' light, but to use some LED strip lights for back ground lighting. I also replaced the 'top locker' light with LED's as the halogen ate power......

Pikey meet - Loughbrough

Well had to really!!

We went to the Pikey meet in Loughbrough, from the 80-90 club, had a great time, beer, food, fire, music & lights, what more could you ask for on a glorious October night.

Met many new friends, and got some great ideas for Bobby.

Lighting

Well after the fun I had with the 'fluro' the other day, I ordered another one and I am being sent a replacement, but after chatting to some friends, I decided to give LED lighting a little trial - and - I LOVE IT!
So, I will use one 'fluro' until I sort the interior out, then I will be replacing all lighting with LED's (including the cabinet light I fitted the other day).
The main reason for changing to LED lighting is the amazing difference in power draw and usage, but also the size of the fittings means I can put them almost anywhere inside I want (and I will).
Also, as I am planning a European trip for 2013, I have decided that I am going to try get some solar panels for the leisure battery so hook up or even a campsite isn't necessary.
So after all my wiring diagram drawing the other day, I am re-designing the 12V system again.

Cooker

When I got Bobby, all there was for cooking was a three ring hob (a good one I add) and that's all. So knowing that I was going to re-do the interior quite soon, I decided to purchase a hob and grill. I went for the 'retro' 80's look with a Flavel Radford II double ring and grill, but then I saw on eBay a Flavel Vanessa oven (not the same design/colour but still 'retro') at the right price.

So today, with both of them here, I decided to clean them and put them safely in the cellar ready for when I am ready to fit them. I am toying with the idea of upgrading the hob with the 'Vanessa' style knobs and also getting it re-enameled in the correct colour.

The oven needs a new olive, but is perfect working order, just needed a clean (even came with a caravan sized baking tray, oven pan and a few other bits). The hob/grill is in a homemade casing with asbestos to keep the heat away from the wood, this will be kept until I am ready to fit it into Bobby, and I can use the case as a patern to work from for the correct size fitment. The hob had a small air-leak, now fixed its 'cooking on gas'.

When I first got Bobby, I was determined to keep a diary of everything I bought, well I have decided against this, as I would probably cry if I knew what I had spent already.

We have the power & first night sleeping

Had a great couple of nights at the weekend sleeping in Bobby, surprisingly comfortable :)
I realized before I slept in it that I needed more lighting, so I ordered a 12V 8w florescent lamp (more on that later).

Down to the major alterations, Bobby now has 240V :)
A visit to Ray's, had the 240V hook-up kit fitted, tested and signed off (email me if you want fitting instructions)

Next, back home, fitting the reversing sensors - a very easy job, but time consuming.

Then this long awaited 12V strip light - I spent ages sorting out the wiring (anyone who knows me will know how anal I am about tidy wires), then fitted the fitting for it not to work - after further inspection the PCB is knackered (BNIB from eBay).
